I love this quote! I feel that we are the light, be it the candle or the reflection from the mirror to our students. The MAGECal light that guides them out of the darkness. It is my hope that we are successful in bringing our students up one reading level. Great working session today Team MAGEC, keep up the awesome work!!

ReplyDeleteReminds me of the beginning lyrics to that one song by Chris Rice, "Go light your candle." Starts out by singing, "There is a candle in every soul. Some burning brightly, some dark and cold. There is a spirit, who brings a fire, ignites a candle, and makes his own." Karaoke Happy Hour anyone? :)
ReplyDeleteLove the quote and image! How true to the soul the words are; they can refer to both the student or teacher. The candle (teacher) lights the way for the student who "mirrors" or reflects the teaching of his/her teacher. Great!
