All we need is just a little patience...

"Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish."--John Quincy Adams

Things are getting quite busy with only two months left of the school year. I am currently working with my grade level on our 5th grade promotion and had to rush this week to get the purchase orders for the trophies, certificates, Student Council sashes, etc. We also have three upcoming field trips and have to start planning and calculating our expenses. This week was practice for the students for our Chamorro program tomorrow. Students have been sent to the office for fighting and many other discipline concerns. It sure has been a rough year and yet I can only thank the Lord for his guidance throughout the way. I must remember at all times to continue to be patient with not only myself but the behavioral students as well. As teachers we are with these kids for at last half of the day trying to instill values. However, the home is the foundation where they should be taught right from wrong. Bless those parents who are supportive and set good examples for their children. Bullying has also become another problem in the elementary schools. Whenever I turn on the television there are so many channels that children shouldn't be watching. Whatever happened to censorship? Let's just light a candle and hope that the upcoming generations will make a change for the better. Now time to get working on the addendum again. Good luck everyone.

  1. Annette,
As I said before, "Along with the ups, are the downs." If only we could say that our world is perfectly stressless, but unfortunately, life is full of it...stress, I mean! The trick is to know how to cope with it, so take a deep breath, and go home and drink a glass of wine. That ought to do it!

  2. Annette,
love the quote, it tied in with our team name and what we're dealing with in our elementary schools today! Here are other ideas to deal with the stress from the bullying in schools: Girls night out, Zumba, Yoga, girls night in with movies and take out, date night with the love of your life and my favorite! sleeping in during the weekends;)Weekend's almost here...have a great one!!

  3. I hear you with the scrambling. Maybe that's what's manifesting in this bothersome eye pain. I really admire you, Annette, for all you do for your students and school community. They are lucky to have such a dedicated woman ready to do all this for them. I pray along with you that everything gets wrapped up smoothly. As for the disappointments of bullying and inappropriate media, all we can do is to continue being the role models that our kids need. Here's to some much needed R & R!

  4. I agree, we have to be the counterweight to the media. We have to be the ones to show our students how to act and behave, and to show them how to love. Keep pushin' on Annette, and yes, in the words of Axl Rose..."all we need is just a little patience".
